AHAHAHAHAHA!  You actually thought going into Libya was a humanitarian mission?!  AHAHA!  That's a good one!  Well, sorry to burst your enviable optimistic bubble but no, we're not there to help people out.  We're there to steal their oil.  Cynical? - well, when you look at our track record I'd have to say no, actually this is pretty standard procedure.  Just more US empire building...nothing new really...

I also have to agree with this second article, which essentially states that the left (more specifically, the war-supporting left) is a bunch of hypocritical, self-righteous thugs...  Maybe this is a bit extreme but seriously, to use the guise of "helping those poor people out" is just as reprehensible, if not more so, than lying about WMDs.  Particularly when you look at all the humanitarian aid we're NOT giving in countless other countries in MUCH worse situations than Libya.  The bottom line is that if you've got oil, we'll make a deal.  Play ball or be prepared to suffer the consequences.  Nothing new under the sun indeed.  Just another page from the Economic Hitman's playbook.
